Anyone else celebrate what would have been his 100th birthday? If you don't know who he was, try !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . He was very influential in many genres of music besides jazz.
The first time I heard him, I was just learning music and jazz and his band totally mindfucked me. Be-bop, plus avant-garde, plus cosmic out there stuff.
Found this through an article I saw on my facebook page. It's a two hour radio stream of his work. I like it. Anyone who has yet to be introduced to him, give it like 15-20 minutes and open your mind.
